St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said Wednesday that leaders there should pass a bill establishing “uniform standards” for its 57 municipal police departments.
He said a bill would require, among other things, that all departments:
— Provide 24-hour service with at least one officer and supervisor on duty.
— Be able to accept and bond-out prisoners 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
