Twinkies and Ho Hos get company with Hostess acquisition

Hostess Brands LLC has acquired Superior Cake Products for an undisclosed amount. Hostess acquired the company in late May but announced the deal Monday in a news release. This is Hostess' first acquisition since new ownership bought the company in 2013 and moved its headquarters back to Kansas City.

Superior Cake Products is an in-store bakery company from Massachusetts whose products are sold under the name Superior on Main, according to the release.
