A public hearing will be held May 4 in Harrisburg on health insurer Highmark’s request to inject $175 million into subsidiary Allegheny Health Network, the state Insurance Department announced.
The hearing will look into the current and projected financial condition of Highmark, AHN and West Penn Allegheny Health System. The information will be used in determining whether the Insurance Department will approve Highmark's proposed $175 million grant to AHN.
