Lawsuit alleging sexual assault by Palantir co-founder is dropped

Elise Clougherty dropped her civil lawsuit for sexual assault on Monday against Palantir co-founder and Formation 8 general partner Joe Lonsdale. Lonsdale, who denied Clouherty’s claims, also dropped his counterclaims of defamation, according to the court filings obtained by Reuters. Both sides will pay their own court costs. Jones Day has appointed Leon DeJulius Jr. partner-in-charge of its Pittsburgh office, effective Tuesday. He succeeds Laura Ellsworth, who has led the office since 2003. Three Austin-area companies have made the grade on the 2015 Cougar 100 List of the fastest-growing businesses owned or led by a University of Houston alumni.
