A Tampa attorney was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison Monday for structuring financial transactions for an undercover drug agent seeking to launder phony drug proceeds from a marijuana grow house.Joe Manuel Gonzalez, 66, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday. The judge also ordered Gonzalez to pay a $15,000 fine.
Gonzalez pleaded guilty on Aug. 24 to structuring financial transactions to avoid currency reporting requirements.…
