Wells Fargo Bank agreed to pay $3.175 million to the victims of George Louis Theodule’s Ponzi scheme to settle allegations that the bank aided and abetted his scheme, which mostly targeted Haitian-Americans.
The Wellington resident was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison in 2014 after pleading guilty to wire fraud. He scammed $30 million from members of South Florida’s Haitian community through companies such as Creative Capital Consortium, which used the money for Theodule’s personal expenses…
