Cuomo cracking down on unlicensed, underpaying nail salons

The days of cheap mani-pedis completed by underpaid, ungloved, mask-free nail salon workers in New York City and throughout the state are about to be over. On Sunday, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo ordered emergency measures to crack down on the health hazards and the theft of wages affecting thousands of nail salons throughout the state, the New York Times reported.
