Epiq Systems Inc. will pay $134 million to acquire Iris Data Services Inc., combining two legal technology services providers, the companies announced Wednesday.
Epiq (Nasdaq: EPIQ), based in Kansas City, Kan., intends to use Olathe-based Iris to accelerate its move into managed services solutions, the release said. The service provides electronic discovery for an entire organization rather than a single project.
