Duluth Trading Co. of Belleville apologized to Don Henley, drummer and a lead singer for The Eagles, for the 2014 henley-style T-shirt ad that triggered a lawsuit from the singer.
AdAge reports on the settlement between Henley and the Madison-area company, which last fall released an email ad for the shirts reading, "Don a henley and take it easy."
Henley sued, not over copyright (Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey wrote it), but over the notion that consumers would think he was endorsing the product.
