
Sixteen small businesses were recently awarded "micro loans" from metro government.
The loans total more than $100,000 and are available for businesses with five or fewer employees. The loans come from the Louisville Metro Department of Community Services, which uses federal Community Development Block Grant money that's provided to Louisville by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Courier-Journal reports.
