Austin, Texas, is booming. On the way into the town this morning, I counted eight cranes towering above the downtown area. And workers already on the job site by 7:30am on a Saturday. It means the local economy is good.
Honolulu and Austin should become sister cities. Austin's a college town. There's a burgeoning startup community here and lots of cool places to eat. Hawaii could benefit from Austin's food truck culture.
