
Clarke Howatt, the former director of public finance at the Association of Bay Area Governments, has been indicted for wire fraud in connection with the alleged theft of $1.3 million in bond money meant for public improvements, his attorney confirmed.
The indictment was first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
