Japanese wedding services giant to open in former Honolulu restaurant space

Japan-based Watabe Wedding Corp. is opening in the space formerly occupied by Rijo and Palomino restaurants at the Harbor Court condominium tower in Downtown Honolulu, Pacific Business News has learned.

The wedding services giant, which was founded in 1953, filed a $2.5 million building permit this week with the City and County of Honolulu's Department of Planning and Permitting for renovations to the former Rijo restaurant space at 55 Merchant St. It is scheduled to open early next year.

Servco Insurance moves to bigger space within Seattle

Servco Pacific Insurance has moved its largest satellite office within Seattle to a larger space in the downtown area, the Hawaii-based insurance brokerage and risk management firm said Monday.

CliftonLarsonAllen acquires West Coast firm Gallina

Minneapolis-based professional services firm CliftonLarsonAllen is boosting its West Coast presence in a merger deal with Gallina, the largest accounting firm in the Sacramento market.

The Sacramento Business Journal reports on the merger, the terms of which weren't disclosed. Roseville, Calif.-based Gallina's offices will convert to CliftonLarsonAllen after the merger is effective Jan. 1.
